Brighton's biggest midweek club night, featuring free food and a student-run party atmosphere.
CU Next Tuesday is back at Quarters on Tuesday 18 August, from 23:00. It's the city's biggest midweek club night and the only Tuesday one to run year round, and it's held the Quarters room on Kings Road every week for more than 15 years. The whole thing is run by students for students, and the formula leans on the extras as much as the music: free food every week, usually pizza and donuts, and free birthday upgrades.
The theme for this one is still TBA, which is part of the draw. Past themes have run from '50 Shades of Greggs', with free Greggs food, to a 'White Lies Party' built around a white Primark tee and a written fib, an ABBA x Mamma Mia night, and 'Bringing Shreksy Back'. If you've been before, you know the drill: the theme sets the dress code, and the food takes care of the late-night hunger.
Every week we pick ๐ the 5 best ๐ things to do in Brighton and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's a regular fixture, so if you can't make the 18th, there are more dates coming up: 25 August, 1 September, and 28 September, all from 23:00 at Quarters, 187-193 Kings Road, BN1 1NB. Entry for this one is free, and the food is on the house, so it's a low-stakes way to get a Tuesday night in.
