CU Next Tuesday is back at Quarters on Tuesday 15 September, the latest in a run that's been going every Tuesday for over 15 years. It's billed as Brighton's biggest midweek clubbing institution, and that's not just a turn of phrase — it's run by students for students, and it's built its name on raucous, feral parties and a long list of themed nights. If you've been around the city's student scene for a while, you'll know the drill: it's a midweek one that doesn't wait for the weekend to get going.

The themes are where the night really lives. Over the years they've run things like '50 Shades of Greggs', 'White Lies Party', 'ABBA x Mamma Mia' and 'Bringing Shreksy Back', so the dress code usually changes from week to week. The music follows suit, roaming across house, hip-hop, drum & bass and chart remixes, which means it's less about one specific sound and more about keeping the floor moving. The food is a fixture too: free pizza and donuts every week, so you can eat while you're out.
