British R&B singer Craig David performs his 'Born To Do It' album front to back with his band, marking 26 years since the album's release.
Craig David plays the Brighton Centre on Sunday 9 May 2027, and it's a specific kind of show: he's playing Born To Do It from start to finish with his band. That's the album that launched him, released back in 2000, and this is the first time he's performed it front to back.
If you've lost track of the numbers, Born To Do It spent more than 70 weeks in the charts and spawned 25 UK top 40 singles and ten top 40 albums. It's gone multi-platinum in more than 20 countries, with over 5 billion streams worldwide. The tour follows two sold-out dates at Hammersmith Apollo in London, so the Brighton show is part of a run taking the record out on the road.
David has spent the years since those early days as a figure of UK pop and garage, picking up three Ivor Novello Awards and six MOBO Awards, along with multiple BRIT and Grammy nominations. This particular tour looks back at the start of that run, with the album played in full rather than a best-of set.
