Concert by Southern California rock and psychedelic musician Cory Hanson at The Hope & Ruin.
Cory Hanson plays The Hope & Ruin on Saturday 3 October, bringing his Southern California psychedelic rock to Brighton. He's a singer and guitarist who spent years in various bands before stepping out with his own project, and this is a full-band show rather than a solo turn.

If you're not yet familiar, the sound sits in that psychedelic rock territory — plenty of guitar and a bit of a trip. It's the kind of gig that works best if you're into rock and psych, and it's aimed at an adult crowd rather than a family outing. The set runs from 19:00 to 22:00, so you've got a full evening of it.
There are a few practical things to keep in mind about the venue. The Hope & Ruin is at 10-12 Queens Road, BN1 3WA, and it's mostly accessible by stairs. If you've got mobility issues or use a wheelchair, they can arrange access through a back door at street level, though there are still three large steps to navigate. You'll need to coordinate your entry and exit with them in advance. There are two accessible toilets on the upper floor, both mixed-use, and they can accommodate companions if you let them know ahead of time and provide proof, like a Blue Badge or Access Card. Assistance dogs are welcome.
Inside, there's a strobe in the mix and you'll be on your feet for most of the night, which might be a problem for some. They can provide chairs in the room, so it's worth arriving early to bag one. Tickets are £18, on sale from 18 June through Love Thy Neighbour or Seetickets.
