Stand-up comedy night from the Rockwater Comedy Night in the Pub series, headlined by Phil Nichol and friends.
Phil Nichol is headlining Rockwater on Thursday 12 November, as part of the Comedy Night in The Pub series. It's a stand-up night in a setting that's anything but your typical comedy club, and the bill is just Nichol and friends.
Rockwater itself is an iconic beachside venue in Hove, overlooking Brighton Beach and spread over three floors. It's run by chef James Golding, whose seasonal cooking drives the menu, and it's built a following as a cocktail destination with playful, inventive drinks that change with the seasons. There's also its own Lager, Blonde and IPA on tap.
Beyond the comedy, the place has become something of a community hub. There are weekly chilled DJ sessions on the Roof Terrace every Friday night through the summer, plus beachside yoga, wine and cheese nights, book clubs, quiz nights and guest performances — Carl Cox and Fatboy Slim are among past acts. The Roof Terrace and The Pub are also available for private hire, and an Open Water membership scheme offers exclusive benefits.
