A unique dining experience for singletons in their 20s and 30s hosted by Love Doctor Monti, focusing on face-to-face connection.
If you have been feeling a bit tired of the endless swiping on dating apps, there is a different approach happening in Brighton soon that focuses on face-to-face interaction. The event is called Come Dine With Love, specifically tailored for singletons in their 20s and 30s. It is being hosted by the 'Love Doctor Monti', who some might recognise from his appearance on the Brighton version of the television show Come Dine With Me. The whole premise is to move away from digital profiles and try out a more traditional, direct way of meeting people over a meal.

The event takes place at Revolution, located at 77 West Street. It is worth noting that there is some conflicting information regarding the exact date, with sources pointing to either 5 July or 25 July 2026, so it is worth double-checking before making plans. Regardless of the date, the event kicks off at 13:30. The format is quite structured: you are served a two-course meal, but you do not stay in the same spot the whole time. You start in one group for the main course and are then shuffled to a different group for dessert. This is designed to give you a chance to speak with more people throughout the afternoon.
During the dessert portion, there is a specific mechanic involved: you are given a card to indicate if you are interested in someone by scoring them a 9 or a 10. It is a fairly direct way to signal attraction without the ambiguity that often comes with messaging. The ticket price is £25.00, which includes the meal and access to a 'Love Menu' with promotional drinks. The Love Doctor will also be on hand to offer advice throughout the session. As Monti himself has put it, the idea is that face-to-face flirting is a significant step up from the usual approach on dating apps, and ultimately, the proof will be in the pudding.
