A 2010s-themed club night featuring hits from artists like Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Katy Perry, with a '2016 Core' dress code.
Club 2010s returns to Patterns on Friday 2 October, part of the monthly run by the Brighton promoter Club 2010. The music sticks strictly to the years 2010-2019, with Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Katy Perry among the names they'll be playing.
There's a dress code to lean into, too: '2016 Core'. Think snapbacks, skinny jeans, bomber jackets, chokers, Vans and ripped knees. The best-dressed crowd gets prizes and free drinks, and they'll have throwback giveaways, flashing digicams and fidget spinners on the night. If you've still got your old 2010s gear tucked away, this is the time to dig it out.
Patterns itself opened in 2015 on the site of a former art deco hotel and has built a reputation as a safe space for the city's underground club culture and as a small live music venue. It still runs the former Ted Potters Music Bar and the infamous Escape Club. The ground floor houses a hand-built DJ booth powered by a bespoke Ohm PA, the basement relies on an L'Acoustics system, and the south-facing wood-decked terrace looks out over the sea.
