Live country music night with band, DJ and line dancing at Brighton Racecourse.
Christmas Country Brighton comes to Brighton Racecourse on Friday 18 December, a full night of country music running from 19:30 to 23:30. The bill is built around a live band described as one of the best in the UK, with country DJ Cotton Eye Met and line dancing from Boot66, plus a special guest to be named.
It's a broad night rather than a single act: the live band handles the stage, the DJ keeps the country going between sets, and Boot66 leads the line dancing, so you can spend as much of the evening on the floor as you like. The special guest is still under wraps, but they'll be added to that mix.
Brighton Racecourse is a venue with some history behind it. The first official race was held there in 1783, and it soon gained the support of King George IV. The sport became closely linked with the city through the Graham Greene novel Brighton Rock. These days, it does more than just racing, hosting conferences, entertainment and weddings alongside the race days.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you head over. The night is strictly for over-18s, and you can't bring your own food or drink inside. Tickets are non-transferable and there are no refunds unless the event is cancelled. As for what to wear, the dress code is smart, dress-up or casual โ so you can go as full-country as you fancy or just keep it simple. It runs from 19:30 to 23:30 on Friday 18 December at Brighton Racecourse, Race Hill, BN2 9XZ.
