A burlesque cabaret show directed by Veronica Blacklace and featuring the burlesque diva Allegra Rose at Ironworks Studios.
Cabaret Boheme is at Ironworks Studios on Friday 17 July, with a second night on Saturday 18 July. It's a burlesque cabaret directed by Veronica Blacklace, who also takes the stage as the night's master of ceremonies. Beside her is Allegra Rose, the burlesque diva of the bill.
The two of them aren't just on the line-up; they're the ones who've shaped the whole thing. The performers you'll see on stage have developed their acts under their guidance, so the night is built around the work they've put in behind the scenes. It's a burlesque show through and through, with Blacklace running the evening and Rose taking a lead spot.
Ironworks Studios is well-placed for it, too. It's a multi-use space in central Brighton, just five minutes' walk from the main train station, and it's become a home for cabaret, drag and stand-up comedy in the city. It also hosts Pride at the Ironworks, an ongoing series celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and diversity with drag shows, live music and visits from collectives like The Cocoa Butter Club, Queefy and Party Bag.
