Budpod Live

Budpod Live comes to Komedia on Wednesday 14 October, a live recording of the podcast hosted by Glenn Moore and Pierre Novellie. If you've listened to the show, you'll know how it works: the two of them talking their way through whatever's on their minds, and this is that same format brought out of the studio and onto a stage.

The set is built around the things that make the podcast what it is. There are the signature riffs they both lean on, the live correspondence they work through, and games that bring in the audience. Because it's a recording, the room becomes part of the episode, so the crowd's reactions end up in the final cut.

It's held in the Komedia Basement, which is a regular home for stand-up and comedy nights in the city. The venue has built a local reputation as a go-to spot for fun, quick-witted nights out, and this fits right into that. It's an over-18s night with unreserved cabaret seating, so you just turn up and take whatever's free.
