Brighton's Makers Market returns to Jubilee Square on Saturday 3 October, the final stop of the season for Paper Daisy's run of pop-up markets. It's the October edition of a series that runs from April to October in the heart of the North Laines, and this one brings together around 40 makers, artists and small-batch producers in one spot.
The mix is a broad one: jewellery, fashion, homewares, ceramics, art, beauty and food. The curation is where it works, though — they put emerging, on-trend brands and work by local design students alongside established makers and artists, with small-batch food producers mixed in. The line-up changes at every event, so if you've been to the earlier ones this year, there'll be new faces and new things to look at here. There are also static benches dotted around, so you can sit and take a break between stalls rather than spending the whole time on your feet.

Jubilee Square is a Brighton Fringe site right next to the Jubilee Library, within walking distance of the Royal Pavilion, Brighton Dome and The Old Steine, and under ten minutes from Brighton Station. It's a central spot that's easy to get to from almost anywhere in town, and since it's free to browse, you can just drift in for a look without committing to anything. It's open from 10:30 to 17:00 on Saturday 3 October, so there's plenty of time to wander through the stalls at your own pace.
