The main feature for the March session is local talent J-Felix. Joe, the musician, producer, and DJ behind the name, is based right here in Brighton and is affiliated with the respected Tru Thoughts label. His sound is a rich blend of genres, pulling from funk, soul, jazz, hip-hop, and electronica. J-Felix has built a strong reputation, not just locally, but through his work on the album Whole Again Hooligan, and his history of supporting major acts like George Clinton and Roy Ayers. He’s also an experienced DJ, having played sets at festivals including Glastonbury, Love Supreme, and We Out Here, alongside his remix work for artists like Amp Fiddler and Hot 8 Brass Band.
The event runs for seven hours in total, from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM. They are kicking things off with a Q&A session with J-Felix himself, running from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, which is included in the ticket price. The main dance session then starts immediately after, running from 2:00 PM until closing time. For those planning to attend, tickets are priced at £10. It’s worth noting that the event is strictly for attendees aged 18 and over. Patterns also confirms that the bar will be open throughout the afternoon, and attendees are welcome to bring their own food.
