The return of the Brighton Soul Club night with local DJs spinning Northern Soul, Motown and Modern Soul on vinyl, strictly on the house principle of 'no hate, no judgement and no drinks on the dance floor'.
Brighton Soul Club returns to Komedia on Sunday 29 November, its second night back after a ten-month hiatus. The first one sold out, and this follows three sold-out nights that drew more than 200 soul music enthusiasts, so it's worth getting your tickets in early if you're planning to go.
The night is built around Northern Soul, Motown and Modern Soul, all played strictly on vinyl by a line-up of local DJs. It's a vinyl-only affair, so you'll hear the records as they were meant to be played, with the DJs drawing from those three distinct strands of soul. The whole thing is run on a simple house principle: 'no hate, no judgement and no drinks on the dance floor'. It's a night for the local soul community, and it's for ages 18+ and standing only.
