Brighton Psych Fest

Brighton Psych Fest returns on Friday 3 September 2027, marking its fourth year in the city. It's a one-day, inner-city festival, and rather than sticking to a single room, it runs across several of Brighton's iconic venues. The listed address is 77 West Street, but the music spreads out from there, so you'll be moving between stages throughout the day.

The festival was established in 2024 by JOY. Concerts and Now Wave, the team behind Manchester Psych Fest, which is well-known across the UK for its focus on psychedelic music and arts. Since then, Brighton Psych Fest has been carving out its own space here, and it's becoming a regular platform for alternative, psych and new music on the rise. This year's edition is billed as bringing a new era of psychedelia to the city.

Because it's a multi-venue event, the day is built for drifting. You can catch a set at one spot and then wander over to another, rather than staying put in one place. It's a long haul, too: doors open at 11:00 and don't close until 23:00, so there's plenty of room to see as much as you fancy without having to rush between stages. If you're into psych and alternative music, it's a full day's worth of it, right in the centre of town.
