Brighton Pride

Brighton Pride 2026 is officially set for the first weekend of August, running from Saturday, August 1st, to Sunday, August 2nd. This event is widely known as the country's most popular celebration for the LGBT+ community, and as usual, the action is split between the city streets and Preston Park.

The weekend kicks off with the Pride Community LGBTQ+ Parade on Saturday, August 1st. If you plan on watching or joining, the theme for the 2026 parade is 'The Power of Love'. Following the parade, the main focus shifts to the ticketed festival site, Pride on The Park (Fabuloso), which takes over Preston Park for both days. This is the venue famous for hosting huge names in the past, including Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, and Pet Shop Boys, ensuring the city turns into a riot of music, colour, and striking costumes.

If you are planning to attend Pride on The Park, you need to secure your entry soon. It is a paid event, and the 'Super Early Bird' tickets are already sold out. Tickets must be booked in advance via the official ticket store (AXS), and if you missed the first release, you should join the waitlist for the next batch expected early in 2026. For those needing assistance, there are support schemes available: a Low-Income Ticket Scheme exists, and attendees can apply for a free ticket for a Personal Assistant (PA/Carer) for Pride on the Park and the Pride Street Party, provided they purchase their own entry ticket first.

Beyond Preston Park, the Pride Village Party (PVP) also runs across the Saturday and Sunday. You will need a wristband to access the PVP area, and it’s worth noting that individual venues within the village may apply an additional entry charge. Given the popularity of this entire weekend, which draws a massive crowd, securing accommodation well in advance is highly recommended.
