A major multisport festival featuring swim, bike, and run events for all levels, from children's Scootathlon to professional standard triathlon.
The Brighton & Hove Triathlon and Multisport Festival is returning to the city on Sunday, 6 September 2026. Organised by TriBourne Multisport Events, the competition takes place at Hove Lawns on Kingsway, utilising the seafront promenade for its routes. The course is designed to be flat and free of traffic, which is a key feature for those participating in the various swim, bike, and run disciplines. With over 2,000 athletes expected to take part, the event covers a wide range of abilities, from those trying it for the first time to experienced professionals.

The festival schedule runs from 07:00 to 15:00 and includes a broad spectrum of categories. For younger participants, there is the Scootathlon for ages 3-7, and the TriStar series for ages 8-14, which is further broken down into TriStart, TriStar 1, 2, and 3. For older age groups, the options include Super-Sprint for novices and youth aged 15-16, as well as Sprint and Standard distances for those 17 and older, including relay options. There are also individual 1,500m swimming events available for anyone aged 15 and up. All participants receive chip timing and a medal upon finishing.
Regarding the logistics, registration fees range from £21.00 to £149.00. It is worth noting that if you are not a member of British Triathlon, you will need to purchase a daily licence, which costs £1, £2, or £6 depending on your age and the specific race category. Given the popularity of the event—it sold out in 2025—planning ahead is advisable. If you are travelling to the venue, the closest train stations are Hove and Brighton, both of which are about a 20-minute walk from the site. Parking in the area can be limited, so arriving early is generally recommended to manage the logistics of the day.
