Bongo's Bingo: Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun

Bongo's Bingo is taking over Pryzm on West Street for a run of Saturday nights this autumn, starting 3 October. It's not just one date, either: they're back on 10, 17, 24 and 31 October, and then again on 7 and 14 November. Halloween night gets a double, with both a matinee and an evening special, so if you're planning a big one on the 31st, you've got two chances in one day.

For those who haven't come across it, Bongo's Bingo was started by Jonny Bongo, who's spent years turning the traditional bingo night into a full-scale immersive experience. It's a mix of nostalgia, rave culture and audience participation, and the prizes are famously eclectic: giant pink unicorns, Henry Hoovers, mobility scooters and cash. It's less about the numbers and more about the chaos around them.

This particular run is called 'Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun', a Halloween-themed spooky rave that swaps the quiet of a bingo hall for bass-rumbling throwback anthems, rave rounds, lip-syncing battles, dance-offs, confetti cannons and spine-chilling special effects. Jonny Bongo has called Halloween one of the brand's favourite themes, and the Brighton dates are part of a massive seasonal rollout across 47 venues nationwide, their biggest one yet.

So, you've got Saturdays from 3 October through to 14 November at Pryzm, with the 31st running twice. If you're after a night that's more rave than bingo, these are the ones to keep an eye on.
