A riotous musical adventure set in New York 1929, featuring speakeasies, gangsters and unforgettable songs, performed by the Blt Youth company.
Blt Youth are bringing Bugsy Malone to the Brighton Little Theatre in March 2027, with three performances over two weekends. It's a musical set in New York in 1929, a world of speakeasies, gangsters and mayhem where rival mobs battle for control and Bugsy finds himself caught in the crossfire. The production is billed as a riotous musical adventure, packed with unforgettable songs, hilarious characters and plenty of mischief.
If you're not familiar with the story, it's a little musical full of trouble, and that's a fair way to describe it. The plot centres on the clash between two rival gangs in Prohibition-era New York, with Bugsy caught in the middle of the fray. It's as much about the songs and the characters as it is about the gangsters, and the whole thing is played for laughs.
