A club night featuring the biggest emo and pop-punk anthems from the 2000s, with sets by My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park and more.
Black Parade returns to Komedia on Friday 30 October, a club night built around the party anthems of the 2000s emo scene. It's a dance-floor affair rather than a live gig, with sets drawing on the bands that defined that era: My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, Paramore, Blink-182, Taking Back Sunday, Panic! At The Disco, All American Rejects, Bring Me The Horizon, You Me At Six and Enter Shikari, among many others. If you spent your teens with a side-fringe and a playlist full of those names, you'll recognise the territory.
Black Parade bills itself as 'the UK's biggest emo night', and the music stays firmly within that 2000s orbit. The setlist pulls from the big names of the scene, so you'll hear the bands that made the sound—My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Paramore—alongside the heavier side of the era, like Bring Me The Horizon and Enter Shikari. It's a broad sweep of the whole scene, from the pop-punk end of things to the more aggressive stuff that sat alongside it.
The night is strictly for over-18s, and it takes place in the Komedia Basement, which is a good spot for a club night like this. Komedia itself is a Brighton institution, and for a regular, it's often described as 'my favourite place in Brighton'.

Doors open at 11:00 pm, so it's a late one that runs well into the early hours. Tickets are ÂŁ7 in advance from Komedia, and since it's a club night, it's the sort of thing you'll want to gather a few people for before heading down.
