Biscuit Barrel presents 'The 69-Sketch Show', a fast-paced, award-nominated comedy featuring 69 sketches in 60 minutes, suitable for ages 14+.
The Brighton Fringe is just around the corner, and one of the most talked-about returning acts is the local comedy group, Biscuit Barrel. They are bringing their show, Biscuit Barrel: The 69-Sketch Show, back to the Komedia Brighton for their sixth year, and it’s exactly what it sounds like: 69 sketches packed into a single hour. If you’re someone who struggles to focus, this might actually be the perfect show for you, as it’s known as the fastest sketch show in the UK.

This isn't just a rapid-fire list of jokes; the style is high-energy and varied, mixing traditional slapstick with songs, rap battles, absurd characters, and even beatboxing. Apparently, the whole thing is loosely held together by a bizarre plot involving biscuits interrupting the performance. The group, which includes core writers and performers like James Horscroft, Daryl Joseph Reader, Capriella Monique, Lily Maryon, and Harry Brown, has built a solid reputation far beyond Brighton. They were nominated for the Spirit of the Fringe Award in 2025 and have taken the show to major international festivals, including Edinburgh Fringe, Hollywood Fringe, and the Leicester Comedy Festival. Critics have been highly positive, calling it 'Perfection de sketch' with 'impeccable acting and excellent rhythm.' You can catch them in the intimate setting of the Komedia Studio, which operates with unreserved seating.
If you want to check it out, they have two dates confirmed in May. The main event is on Sunday, May 10, 2026, and they have an additional performance scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026. Both shows start at 8:30 PM, with doors opening half an hour earlier at 8:00 PM. Tickets are priced at £12.00 Standard or £10.00 for Concessions. Just a practical note on content: the show is rated 14+, and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Be prepared for a typical high-energy Fringe experience, as the show includes audience interaction, strong language, loud noises, and references to violence.
