Blues rock guitarist Ben Poole performs live at Komedia in Brighton.
Ben Poole plays Komedia on Sunday 8 November. He's a UK-based blues, rock, and soul guitarist, singer, and songwriter, and this is a headline show with him as the sole bill.
He's been touring and recording since he was 16, often playing over 150 shows a year across more than 20 countries. His style pulls from blues, rock, soul, country, and alternative rock, and he describes his own approach as virtuoso musicianship with a hard-hitting, 'in-yer-face' edge. He's been written about in Classic Rock Magazine, Guitarist Magazine, and Blues Matters Magazine.
There's a fair bit of weight behind the name, too. He's been cited as one of the finest blues guitarists to emerge in Europe in recent years, with praise from Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, John Mayall, and Beth Hart. Before a two-year pandemic hiatus, Guitar World Magazine in the US nominated him as one of the best blues guitarists in the world. He's an award-winning player, and this is a night built around his guitar work.
