The first market of this series is coming up on 28 March. Generally, these markets operate on Saturdays from 11:00 to 17:00, though there is a specific change for the 18 December event, which will be held on a Friday from 16:00 to 20:00. Entry to the markets is free, and the organisers have designed the space to be accessible for families. If you have a dog, you are welcome to bring them along to the venue as well. Other dates to keep in mind for the rest of the year include 4 April, 26 September, 31 October, 7 and 21 November, 28 November, and 18 and 19 December.
The focus of these markets is on supporting small, local businesses, which is reflected in the organisers' aim to encourage people to shop small and local all year round. Whether you are looking for a specific gift or simply want to see what is being produced in the area, these markets provide a space to connect directly with the people behind the products. It is a consistent way to see the variety of work being produced by independent makers in Brighton without any pressure. By hosting these events regularly, the organisers provide a recurring opportunity for residents to engage with the local creative community throughout the year.
