A market featuring high-quality handmade gifts and local artisan products in the centre of Brighton.
Beau-Events are back at Jubilee Square on Saturday 10 October, one of the remaining dates in their 2026 run of art and makers markets. It's a full day of shopping in the centre of Brighton, with the square filled with stalls from local artists and makers. If you've been before, you'll know the mix: handmade gifts, ceramics, prints, and jewellery, all from people working in the city and around it. It's a good place to pick up something one-off rather than off a shelf, and it's a chance to buy directly from the people who actually made the things.
Behind the markets is Beau-Events, an art and makers platform run by an independent artist and creative based in Brighton & Hove. They've traded with the maker community from the start, and that comes through in the selection. The markets have built a reputation as some of the best in Brighton for an eclectic mix of high-quality handmade gifts, and they're run as a way to shop small and local throughout the year and support local artists. The makers who exhibit there describe the events as packed with great makers and customers, so it's a good spot to see a wide range of work in one go.
This particular date is part of a larger calendar: Beau-Events is running 13 markets across Brighton throughout 2026, and the 10 October one is one of the final few of the year. If you can't make this one, there are two more to follow: 14 November and 12 December, both on Saturdays. The December date falls just before Christmas, which is when these markets usually get their busiest, so it's a handy one to keep in mind if you're looking for gifts that aren't from a high street chain.
