A high-energy live entertainment experience blending Musical Bingo and Dabbers Social Bingo with prizes and challenges.
For those familiar with the North Laine social scene, Battle of the Bingo is heading back to the Komedia basement on 19 March. This event brings together two established names in the alternative bingo world: Musical Bingo and Dabbers Social Bingo. Rather than the hushed atmosphere of a traditional bingo hall, this version focuses on a mix of music-led rounds and the classic game of numbers. It’s designed to be a high-energy experience, held in the venue’s basement space at 44-47 Gardner Street, which usually hosts comedy and live music.

The format relies heavily on audience participation, with hosts leading the room through various challenges and rounds. You can expect a variety of "silly prizes" and interactive elements that move away from the standard "eyes down" approach. Because the seating is unreserved cabaret-style, it’s the kind of night that suits groups or people looking for a more social, less formal outing. The doors open at 19:00, with the show itself kicking off at 20:00, allowing some time to grab a drink or find a spot before the first round begins.
In terms of cost, a standard entry ticket is £14.50 with a £2.00 booking fee, though prices can fluctuate slightly between £10.45 and £15.95 depending on the platform. For those who want to eat during the show, there is a Loaded Fries Ticket for £20.50 (plus the £2.00 fee). This option includes a choice of toppings from the Komedia snack menu, such as katsu curry or feta and olives. It is worth noting that this is an 18+ event, so it’s strictly for the adult crowd looking for a mid-week alternative to the usual pub night.
If the March date doesn't work for your schedule, the organisers have confirmed several other Thursdays throughout 2026. You can find the same setup on 21 May, 18 June, 16 July, 17 September, 15 October, and 12 November. Each session follows the same structure, providing a consistent option for celebrations or casual nights out in the city. The blend of two different bingo styles means the rounds vary in pace, keeping the focus on the music and the social aspect of the game.
