Stand-up show 'Maverick' by Aurie Styla, who turns his work-life balance, family, relationships and health into comedy.
Aurie Styla brings his new stand-up show Maverick to the Brighton Dome on Saturday 24 April 2027. It's his first Brighton date since his last tour, and he's returning to the city after a run of more than 100 dates worldwide.
Maverick picks up where his previous tour, The Aurator, left off. The material turns his bad work-life balance, family influence, relationships and health into comedy, so it's a show built on the things that usually stay behind the scenes. If you've seen him before, this is the next chapter rather than a repeat.
Styla has a broad TV and radio profile to go with the stand-up. He's appeared on Richard Osman's House Of Games (BBC), Comedy Central Live, Jonathan Ross' Comedy Club (ITV), Don't Hate The Playaz (ITV) and many seasons of The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV2). He also hosts the BBC Radio 4 show Tech Talk, which is returning for a second series. In 2025 he was named a New Face of Comedy at the Just For Laughs Montreal festival, and in 2026 he's billed to debut at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in Los Angeles. His stand-up has also run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2021 and 2022.
