A live performance by the Antarctic Monkeys, a Wolverhampton-based Arctic Monkeys tribute band, at the Quarters venue in Brighton.
Antarctic Monkeys play Quarters on Friday 29 January, from 18:30 to 22:00. They're an Arctic Monkeys tribute band from Wolverhampton, formed in 2006 and billed as the UK's number one act of their kind. They work through the band's indie anthems from Dancefloor through to AM, and they describe the set as having the sound and energy of Sheffield's finest.
Their lead singer is regularly noted for having all the moves and the voice of Alex Turner, and the reviews they've picked up have been five stars, with one calling the show 'epic' and another saying they almost could be the Arctic Monkeys themselves. Alongside assorted gigs and festival appearances, the band stages a tour of O2 Academy venues each year, so this is one of their smaller, club-sized dates.
