Comedy music show with Pearl & Dean returning after sell-out runs at the Brighton Fringe, with special guests.
Pearl & Dean are back at Komedia on Saturday 5 September, their first Brighton date since their sell-out runs at the Brighton Fringe in 2025 and 2026. They're billed as the most 'heterosexual' couple in show business, and this time they're bringing very special guests along for the ride. The show is called All Aboard - An Evening With Pearl & Dean And Very Special Guests.
The premise is that you're coming aboard their cruise ship, the Watery Queen, and heading to the Lavender Lounge for an evening of music, mirth, and mayhem. The set draws on their brief spell in the pop charts and their critically acclaimed album Separate Beds, so there's a fair bit of music to go alongside the comedy. They've been shortlisted for three awards, including best new show, and these Fringe runs have been selling out, so they're returning to the city with a bit of momentum behind them.
As for the style, reviewers have described them as 'the best double act since Captain and Tennille' and compared the whole thing to 'Noël Coward meets RuPaul's Drag Race with a splash of Victoria Wood'. That gives you a decent idea of the territory they're in — a mix of old-school variety, camp, and a bit of a wink and a nudge. The 'very special guests' part of the title means there'll be more on the bill than just the two of them, though they're the main feature.
