A live 80s Christmas party with the band 80's HiFi recreating 1980s classics at Concorde 2.
80's HiFi are playing a Christmas special at Concorde 2 on Friday 18 December, presented by Black Rabbit & Lout. They're a fully live band from Brighton, and their whole thing is recreating the hits of the 1980s. It's a 14+ event, so it's not just for the crowd that grew up with these records.
The set draws from a broad songbook. You'll hear Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Kate Bush, Don Henley, Aztec Camera, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, INXS, Wham, Soft Cell and Billy Idol. It's a wide reach across the decade, covering the synth-pop, the new romantics and the guitar-led stuff that defined the era. They're not just playing the big ones, either; the list runs from the chart-toppers to the slightly deeper cuts.
They describe their show as high-energy, built on searing guitars, reverb-drenched drums, nu-romantic vocals and wall-wobbling bass. The band bills itself as the UK's No.1 80's party act and tours the country and beyond, so this is one of their Brighton dates. It's a live recreation rather than a DJ set, so you'll have a full band on stage throughout.
