With the summer season approaching, the calendar for open-air music festivals near Brighton is filling up, offering several options for those looking to plan their weekends. The Love Supreme Jazz Festival returns to Glynde Place from July 3rd to 5th, 2026. Located about 20 minutes from the city, this event marks its 12th anniversary this year. The 2026 lineup includes artists such as Loyle Carner, Ezra Collective, and De La Soul, alongside DJ Pee .Wee, Jalen Ngonda, and The Free Nationals. Other confirmed acts for the weekend are Sister Sledge, The Temptations & The Four Tops, and Samara Joy. The festival site at Glynde is generally flat, and for those not driving, there are dedicated bus services running from Brighton and Lewes stations, as well as coaches from various south coast locations.

Tickets for Love Supreme are sold in tiers, with adult weekend camping and non-camping options priced around £218.90 including fees. For younger attendees, junior tickets for those aged 6 to 15 are available for £99 with camping or £93.50 without, while children under 5 require a ticket but enter for free. Day tickets are also an option, starting from £69.30. The festival grounds include various accommodation areas such as general camping, premium options, glamping, and specific pitches for live-in vehicles. Beyond the main stages, the event incorporates wellness sessions and a selection of international food and drink stalls, maintaining its reputation as a significant gathering for jazz, soul, and funk enthusiasts in the Sussex area.
Earlier in the season, the Land Beyond Festival takes place on May 24th, 2026, at East Brighton Park. This is a one-day event for those 18 and over, focusing on genres like drum & bass, house, and garage. The lineup features Aitch, Hedex, K Motionz, and East End Dubs, with additional sets from P Money, Enzo Siragusa, and Shanti Celeste. As this is a non-camping festival located within the city boundaries, it serves as a more immediate option for local residents. Standard tickets for Land Beyond start at £35.00, while VIP access is available from £65.00. Given the proximity to the city center, it offers a different logistical experience compared to the weekend-long stay at Glynde.
Further coastal events are scheduled throughout July 2026 as part of the On The Beach series. These concerts take place directly on the Brighton seafront and include performances by Fatboy Slim on July 18th, Madness on July 23rd and 24th, and Moby on July 26th. These individual shows complement the broader festival season, which also includes the Brighton & Hove Pride festival in early August. The Pride celebrations feature the traditional parade on August 1st, followed by the main festival in Preston Park on August 2nd. With multiple events overlapping or following closely in the summer months, booking transport and any necessary local accommodation in advance is a practical step to manage the expected increase in visitors to the Sussex coast.
