Brighton’s best-known musical export is coming back to the seafront for two special nights this month. Fatboy Slim, the stage name of Norman Quentin Cook, will play Quarters on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 October 2026, with profits from both shows going to the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation. The dates were announced on 29 September and tickets are already on sale through the Quarters website.

These will be Cook’s first performances at Quarters, the electronic music venue in the Victorian arches at 187–193 Kings Road Arches. The venue reopened on 26 September 2025 under the management of A Man About A Dog, the team behind Brighton Boundary Festival. It has a capacity of 700, a single dancefloor, a central 360-degree DJ booth and an L-Acoustics A15 sound system. There is also a balcony overlooking the floor, seating, lockers, air conditioning, an outdoor smoking area, ramp access and a lift for disabled guests. Quarters is on the site formerly associated with The Arch and, before that, The Zap, a major part of Brighton’s club history. Fatboy Slim was among the DJs who played there during its earlier years.
The charity link is particularly local. Cook became an ambassador for the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation in 2024 and has supported its work through quiz nights, auctions, performances and community events. The Foundation uses football to support people across Sussex, with programmes covering participation, education, employability, disability football and wellbeing. It says 5,000 children and young people are supported each week, while more than 500 people with disabilities take part in regular football sessions. Money raised by these two shows will go directly to that work.
For Brighton fans, the gigs also add another chapter to Cook’s long relationship with the city. He moved to Brighton after The Housemartins split, later becoming known for records including The Rockafeller Skank, Praise You and Right Here, Right Now. His connection with the seafront goes back to the large Big Beach Boutique concerts in 2002, while more recent local appearances have included a secret set at the Prince Albert in 2023 and a performance at The Pipeline in June 2026. Quarters is around 15 minutes on foot from Brighton station, with bus stops at Ship Street, Old Steine and Churchill Square nearby. The venue’s usual closing time is 5am, although opening times vary by event, so ticket holders should check the details for their particular night.
