Brighton is gearing up for its most iconic summer celebration as Brighton & Hove Pride returns for its 35th anniversary, marking thirty-five years since the modern festival returned to the city in 1991. Taking place on Saturday 1 August and Sunday 2 August 2026, this year's festival centers around the official theme 'The Power of Love'. As the UK's largest LGBTQ+ festival, the event brings together over 300,000 people, creating an incredible atmosphere across the city while generating approximately 20 million pounds for the local economy and raising vital funds for local community groups.

The festivities kick off on Saturday morning with the Pride Community Parade. Starting at 11:00 am from Hove Lawns, the free procession makes its way through the heart of Brighton along West Street, Queens Road, North Road, and London Road, before finishing at Preston Park. If you are looking for a great vantage point to watch the community groups, NHS workers, and diverse organizations, there are plenty of excellent spots. You can secure a view from public areas like the Clock Tower, St. Peter's Church, and Preston Circus, or head to local favorites. The Salt Room offers a great view with free-flow prosecco, while Mojo on Queens Road, Dorset Bar & Kitchen on North Road, and the rooftop of The Trading Post in Kensington Gardens provide fantastic settings to enjoy the parade.
The celebrations continue at Preston Park with Pride on the Park, the main ticketed fundraiser running across both Saturday and Sunday. Gates open at noon, and the park will be packed with multiple stages, cabaret tents, Queer Town, a BAME stage, and the Trans Fabuloso stage. Saturday's main stage features a headline performance by RAYE, performing from her new album 'This Music May Contain Hope', alongside Jessie J, Self Esteem, Leigh-Anne, G Flip, Moonchild Sanelly, and an exclusive DJ set by RuPaul. Over in the Dance Arena, you can catch Purple Disco Machine, Bimini, and Daniel Avery. On Sunday, the legendary Diana Ross makes her Brighton Pride debut with an exclusive UK performance, sharing the main stage with Five, Holly Johnson, Paris Hilton, and Mel C. The Sunday Dance Arena lineup includes Armand Van Helden, The Blessed Madonna, and Girls Don't Sync. Presale tickets launch on 12 February 2026, with discounted tickets available for local residents through a low-cost scheme. Ticket contributions directly support the Pride Community Foundation's Restart Fund, which helps local LGBTQ+ organizations.
Beyond the park, the Pride Village Party takes over the streets of Kemptown, specifically St James's Street and Marine Parade, requiring wristbands to access the lively mix of outdoor entertainment, drag artists, and live DJs. Local venues are also hosting special events throughout the weekend. Ironworks Studios is hosting the 'Party Bag' on Friday night with drag performers, while Charles Street Tap offers a great space for the community, and The Curzon features its popular cabaret and beer garden. For late-night dancing, DILF is organizing official parties on Friday and Sunday, while BEEFMINCE takes over on Saturday. If you are visiting from out of town, the train is the best option, with regular services running from London Victoria, London Bridge, and St Pancras directly to Brighton Station. For places to stay, Kemptown features excellent options like Brightonwave, Drakes Hotel, and Legends Hotel, while OutdoorLads is organizing a dedicated campsite at Worthing Rugby Club.
