The announcement of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' homecoming show has set a high bar for the local music scene this year. While the main event is scheduled for 31 July 2026 at Preston Park, it serves as a reminder of the steady stream of live music flowing through the Brighton Dome over the coming months. Nick Cave’s performance is particularly notable as his only UK date for 2026, featuring a line-up that includes Warren Ellis and Colin Greenwood. The setlist is expected to cover four decades of material, including songs from the 2025 album Wild God. The support bill for that day is equally substantial, featuring The Flaming Lips, English Teacher, Cate Le Bon, and Warmduscher.

Back at the Brighton Dome, the schedule for the remainder of April and May is packed with variety. This evening, 17 April 2026, the Concert Hall hosts The Rocky Horror Picture Show 50th Anniversary Spectacular Tour with tickets starting at £29.50. Tomorrow, the focus shifts to the Sounds of Brazil featuring Adriano Adewale, followed by a joint spring concert from the Eastbourne Music Centre. As we move into the final week of April, The Charlatans are set to perform on 25 April with tickets from £44.00. May continues this momentum with Beverly Glenn-Copeland appearing on 1 May, and the electronic sounds of AK/DK on 3 May. Other significant bookings for the month include Laurie Anderson on 6 May, Sampa The Great on 9 May, and a performance by Patti Smith on 12 May. The Great Escape festival also takes over the venue mid-month, bringing Peaches to the stage on 15 May for £33.48.
As summer approaches, the Dome’s calendar remains busy with established names and touring acts. June starts with James Morrison and Talia Rae on 1 June, followed by Ray LaMontagne on 5 June. One of the more anticipated dates is 12 June, when Elvis Costello performs in the Concert Hall with tickets priced from £81.25. Later in the month, Shalamar brings a different energy on 21 June, followed by Beverley Knight on 24 June and 10cc on 30 June. These shows offer a broad range of genres, from soul and pop to classic rock, ensuring that the transition into the warmer months is well-soundtracked before the large-scale homecoming event in July.
Looking further ahead into the autumn, the venue has already confirmed several high-profile tours. September sees Earl Sweatshirt & MIKE on 3 September, followed by Jon Anderson on 10 September and Marillion on 13 September. Freya Ridings is scheduled for 17 September, while Saint Etienne will perform on 25 September with tickets starting at £24.50. October is equally dense with bookings, including Katherine Jenkins on 6 October, a double bill of The Wonder Stuff and Inspiral Carpets on 8 October, and Alison Moyet on 10 October. Heavy metal fans have Alice Cooper to look forward to on 14 October, and Lulu follows the next night. The year winds down with the Nu Civilisation Orchestra performing Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On on 29 October and Bellowhead on 16 November. Even looking into 2027, Kim Wilde has already secured a date for 23 March, suggesting that the cycle of major live music in Brighton shows no signs of slowing down.
