The Rock Orchestra: Arena of Fire

The Rock Orchestra are back at the Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday 10 October, playing in the BIC Windsor Hall. It's a full-scale arena show, 90 minutes of rock and metal songs reimagined with a classical edge. The set brings together 14 classical musicians, world-class vocalists, a choir, and the fire performers The Fuel Girls, who'll be on stage with pyro displays throughout the night.

The setlist covers a wide stretch of rock and metal: Metallica, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Pantera, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, System Of A Down, Guns N' Roses, Evanescence, Papa Roach, and The Cranberries. It's a broad mix, running from the heavy riffs of Pantera and System Of A Down to the melodic lines of The Cranberries and Evanescence, all played by the same ensemble.

The Rock Orchestra is a British collective founded in 2020 by Nathan Reed, built as a rotating line-up of classical instrumentalists, vocalists, and live performance artists. They've made a name for themselves by reworking rock and metal anthems with classical elegance, usually in a gothic, candlelit setting with skeletal attire and powerful instrumentation. They gained global attention and viral success with their cover of The Cranberries' 'Zombie'. After back-to-back tours of the USA and Europe, this is their return to Bournemouth.
