Two giants of underground psych-dance culture come together for an evening of audio-visual sensory overload.
The Orb and Ozric Tentacles are sharing a bill at O2 Academy Bournemouth on Thursday 26 November, two names from the underground psych-dance scene on one night. The evening is billed as an "audio-visual sensory overload", and the two acts bring quite different things to it.

The Orb provide the ambient soundscapes and pulsing rhythms they're known for, while Ozric Tentacles bring their instrumental psychedelic rock, built around spacey textures and rhythms of its own. Put them together and you've got a night that sits right in that cross between electronic and psych, with the ambient side of one and the instrumental rock of the other running side by side.
The venue is O2 Academy Bournemouth, at 570 Christchurch Road in Boscombe, BH1 4BH. It's a Grade II listed building, a proper live music space that's hosted plenty of nights like this over the years.
Doors open at 19:00 and the curfew is 23:00, so it's a full evening's affair. Tickets are on sale now, and there are VIP packages available as well. If you're into ambient, psych-rock, or the underground dance culture that connects them, this is one to keep on your radar for November.
