The UK's number one touring rock and roll theatre show returns to Bournemouth Pavilion with high-energy performances and comedy, featuring music from the 1950s to the 1980s.
That'll Be The Day returns to the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September 2026, with both nights starting at 7:30pm. It's a touring rock and roll theatre show that's been on the road for years, and this is its Bournemouth stop for the 2026 run.
The show is directed, produced and voiced by Trevor Payne, and it's built around the music. It started out in clubs and holiday camps, and it refreshes its content every year, so it's not the same set every time it goes around. The songs run from the 1950s through to the 1980s, and they're mixed with comedy sketches and chart-topping favourites. It's a tribute to the songs and artists that shaped a few different generations, with rock 'n' roll, pop and nostalgia all in the same evening.
On stage, the cast includes Ollie Gray, Gary Anderson, Eduardo Neto, Lotty Anderson, Nikki Renee Hechavarria-Wright, Sean McAusland, Jarrod Loughlin, Mark Street and Jodie Gray. Beyond the music, the show has raised more than £1 million for charity, supporting organisations like Childline and Help for Heroes.
