A 60-minute immersive relaxation experience using crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, led by Jayne Evans, with guided relaxation and refreshments included.
Jayne Evans is running a sound bath and relaxation session at The Connaught Hotel and Spa on Sunday 27 September, from 10.45am to 11.45am. It's an hour's session, and they ask you to arrive by 10.30am to get settled in before it starts.
If you've never been to one, a sound bath is an immersive relaxation experience: you lie down comfortably while sounds and vibrations are created around you using crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, layered with guided relaxation. It's less about listening and more about letting the sound wash over you while you're lying flat on your back. Evans works with handmade Tibetan and crystal singing bowls to build warm, welcoming sessions designed to help you let go, breathe deeply and reconnect with a sense of calm. It's open to everyone regardless of age, background or any previous experience of yoga or meditation.
Evans has been practising yoga for over 11 years and built her practice around her own discovery of how a little time to pause can change the way we feel. That's the core of what she does here: a space to stop and reset. Yoga mats, blankets and cushions are provided, so you don't need to bring a thing, though you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Refreshments are included in the session, and booking also gives you 20% off any spa treatments you take at The Connaught on the day, which is a handy bonus if you're planning to make a full afternoon of it.
