Sam Campbell brings his new show Kid Giblet to the Bournemouth Pavilion on Friday 11 September. It's a stand-up set described as wildly unpredictable, built on surreal humour and sharp observations. If you've seen him before, you'll know the unpredictable part is the point: he's an Australian comedian who works in a trademark absurdist style, and Kid Giblet continues that line.
Campbell has a strong track record behind him. He won the Dave's Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2022, and before that, he took home Most Outstanding Show at the 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where he also picked up the Director's Choice award in 2016. He's a regular on the panel circuit, too, with appearances on Taskmaster, Would I Lie To You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
He's a frequent face at the Edinburgh Fringe, where he's run a string of shows over the years: The Last Dreamer in 2016, The Trough in 2018, Companion in 2021, Comedy Show in 2022, and Bulletproof Ten in 2023. Kid Giblet is the latest in that sequence, and it's the one he's bringing to Bournemouth this September.
