Screening of the romantic fantasy film Practical Magic, starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, in anticipation of the sequel.
Practical Magic is back on the big screen at Odeon Bournemouth this weekend, with screenings on Saturday 8 August and Sunday 9 August. It's the 1998 romantic comedy about two sisters from a long line of witches, starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, and it's being brought back to the cinema in anticipation of the sequel, Practical Magic 2, which is due out on 11 September.
If you've seen it before, it's a good chance to catch it on a proper screen rather than at home. If you haven't, it's a light, supernatural comedy that's held up well over the years, so it works just as well as a first watch. The two lead roles are shared between Bullock and Kidman, and the whole thing is built around their family's magical heritage, which is exactly what the new film will be picking up from.

There are a few different times to choose from across the weekend. On Saturday 8 August, there's a 3:30pm showing. On Sunday 9 August, there are two: one at 12:30pm and another at 3:30pm. Both days are afternoon slots, so they're easy enough to fit around whatever else you've got going on. If you're planning to see the sequel when it arrives on 11 September, these screenings give you a chance to brush up on the original first.
