Polly Morris and Friends return with an original blend of music and comedy; doors open at 7.00.
Polly Morris is back at St Saviour's Church on Thursday 1 October, returning to the Bournemouth stage with her usual blend of music and comedy. She's an award-winning songwriter whose repertoire runs from comedy and parody to heartbreakingly poignant songs, usually performed solo but often rounded out by guest musicians. The evening is billed as Polly Morris and Friends, so expect a few other voices and instruments joining in alongside her.
She's had a strong run of recognition lately. Her track 'But I do', released in aid of the Alzheimer's Society, took the FATEA Best Track of the Year Award in 2025. Her album Am I an Alien? won the GSMC Award for Best Album in January and made the Readifolk list of the year's best. Critics have called her 'the Flanders and Swann of our day', pointing to the sharp wit of her comedy alongside the quality of her ballads, and have described her music as a whirlwind of song and theatre.
