Mother Ukers, Dorset's pioneers of ukular fusion, return to the Cellar Bar.
Mother Ukers are back at Chaplin's & The Cellar Bar on Saturday 3 October, returning to the Cellar Bar for another night of their particular take on the ukulele.
They're Dorset's pioneers of ukular fusion, and that's about as far as they go in describing what they do. If you've seen them before, you'll know the sound: ukuleles at the centre, but pushed into territory that doesn't usually sit with them. It's not the sort of thing you'll find on a standard ukuleles-and-singalongs bill, and that's precisely why they've built a following around here.
They've played the Cellar Bar before, so this is a return to familiar ground rather than a first-time visit. It's a local act coming back to a local room, and the set will be built around the same fusion they've been known for since they started.

The night kicks off at 9:30pm, and there's a bit of a window if you want to get in without paying: entry is free before 10pm, and £3 after that. So if you're planning to arrive early and settle in, you'll get in for nothing; if you're running late, it's a few pounds at the door. It's a late start, so it's more of a night-out gig than an early evening one.
