Live performance by Moon Idle with Isaac MacKenzie Band at The Old Fire Station.
Moon Idle play The Old Fire Station in Bournemouth on Tuesday 29 September, with two shows on the same night. They're performing alongside the Isaac MacKenzie Band, so it's a double bill rather than a solo turn.
Moon Idle have come out of Brighton, where they've built a name for a sound that doesn't quite fit into one easy box. It's a mix of cinematic textures, tension and intimacy, pulling from alt-pop songwriting and trip-hop production. They describe their music as hypnotic and brooding, and that gives you a fair idea of what to expect: dense layers of reverb-soaked guitars, ghostly vocals and glacial rhythms that drift between dreamlike serenity and a slow-burning intensity. It's the kind of thing that works best when you've got the time to actually sink into it, rather than something to have on in the background.

Having the Isaac MacKenzie Band on the bill adds another layer to the night, and with two shows running one after the other, you've got a couple of options for when to head down. The first starts at 7:00pm and the second at 7:45pm, so if you're coming from work or have other plans, you can pick the one that fits your evening better. Tickets for the 7:00pm show are £8.60 and the 7:45pm one is £8.75, both including the booking fee.
