Miriam Margolyes: Miriam's Full English

Miriam Margolyes is coming to the Bournemouth International Centre on Monday 26 October, playing in Windsor Hall. It's her return to the stage after three bestselling memoirs and several sold-out tours, and the show is built around her latest book, Miriam's Full English.

For those who know her work, the title gives you a good steer on what's coming. In the book, she turns her documentary-maker's eye on her own backyard, looking at the things closer to home after spending years exploring the world through her BBC series. On stage, that translates into a mix of memories, politics, and plenty of filth, with a no-holds-barred Q&A to round it off. It's the same outspoken voice that's made her a household name, just live and in the room with you.

She's touring these islands, with dates across England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, so this is one of the few times she'll be passing through the south coast. Now nearly 85, she doesn't shy away from the clock, ticking it along with a joke that 'this old dyke can only go on so long'. It's that same directness you'd expect from her, and it's a good idea to keep in mind before you book: the age guidance is 14+, at the discretion of a parent or guardian.
