Krampus Market

The Krampus Market comes to The Royal Arcade in Boscombe on Sunday 29 November, from 10am. It's an alternative midwinter gathering run by Anathema - Dedicated Witchcraft Emporium, billed as 'Dark Yule, Folklore & Midwinter Mischief'. The market takes its name from Krampus, the horned figure of Alpine folklore who appears during the winter solstice, and the whole day is built around that darker, folklore-driven side of the season.

Anathema is a witchcraft emporium, and the market follows that line, so expect a day of stalls and crafts with a distinct midwinter theme rather than your usual Christmas fair. It's the kind of thing that sits comfortably with the 'Dark Yule' tag—more about the solstice and old folklore than tinsel and carols.

The day features live music from Murphy's Lore Trio, who will be busking and providing seasonal folk music while you shop, starting around 1pm.
