Jane McDonald: Living The Dream

Jane McDonald is playing BIC Windsor Hall on Thursday 24 September, as part of her Living The Dream UK tour. It's a full evening: the auditorium doors open at 7pm, Act One runs from 7.30 to 8.30pm, there's a 20-minute interval, and Act Two goes from 8.50 to 10pm. Tickets start from £27.50.

The night is built around her eleventh studio album, Living The Dream, which she recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. The Nashville connection is a nod to country music, and the record reflects it: nine original songs and four reworkings of country classics. She's open about the influence, saying she loves country music and partying, and this tour sees her stepping up to bigger venues than on her last run. The Bournemouth date is one of 19 on the UK tour.

For those who only know her from the telly, the voice came first. She won over millions with her professional singing and down-to-earth humour in the original documentary series The Cruise; the BBC were so impressed they followed up with a one-hour documentary on her then-newly launched career and her wedding, and her debut album, Jane McDonald – The Album, went to number one. She describes herself now as a national treasure, and this tour is her eleventh studio album in.
