James Blunt - Airplane Mode

James Blunt plays Bournemouth International Centre on Wednesday 7 April 2027, with the show starting at 6:30pm in Windsor Hall. He's touring his new album, Airplane Mode, which comes out on 6 November on Atlantic Records. The record has twelve tracks, and he cut it at Pig Music Studios in Banbury with his long-standing live band. He describes the whole thing as a creative reset: "Somewhere back there, I lost my way, but found it again in a studio in Banbury."

Blunt first made his name with his 2004 debut Back to Bedlam, which gave us "You're Beautiful", "Goodbye My Lover" and "High". Since then, he's put out All the Lost Souls, Some Kind of Trouble, Moon Landing and Once Upon a Mind, and picked up Grammy, BRIT and Ivor Novello recognition along the way. His last studio album was 2023's Who We Used to Be, which reached number five in the UK Official Albums Chart.

This date is part of his 2027 UK and Ireland arena tour, which runs from Leeds on 26 March to Brighton on 8 April, so Bournemouth falls towards the end of the run. The show is on Wednesday 7 April at 6:30pm in the BIC's Windsor Hall.
