A 90-minute healing sound and vibration experience led by Robin Freeman, featuring gongs, yoga mats and candles.
Robin Freeman leads an immersive sound journey and gong bath at The Old School House in Boscombe on Friday 16 October, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. It's a ninety-minute session of healing sounds and vibrations, with the room set out with gongs, yoga mats and candles.
If you've never been to a gong bath, the setup tells you most of what you need to know. You lie down on a mat and let the sound of the gongs do the work, rather than following a melody or a beat. It's more about the vibration and the physical feel of the sound than anything you'd hear at a gig, and the candles keep the room dim while you're under.
The session is part of the Bournemouth Education Arts Foundation (BEAF) programme, and it's held at The Old School House, known locally as TOSH. TOSH is a non-profit arts space in Boscombe run by The Old School House Company, a registered charity that puts on workshops, courses and classes throughout the year. This fits right into that mix — it's a session you lie down for rather than one you sit and watch.

It runs from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, so it's a full ninety minutes of sound. If you're planning to go, it's worth remembering that you'll be lying on a mat for the whole thing, so dress for that. The Old School House is in Boscombe, Bournemouth.
