An eight-week Kundalini Yoga course led by Lacey Shaw, focusing on breathwork, kriya and pranayama to strengthen the heart and lungs.
Lacey Shaw is leading an eight-week Kundalini Yoga course at The Old School House in Bournemouth, with the first session on Monday 5 October from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. It's organised by BEAF, and the whole thing is built around the heart centre and the power of conscious breath.
Over the eight weeks, Shaw works through kriya, pranayama, mantra and deep rest. The practical side of it is about strengthening the lungs and the physical heart, expanding your breath capacity and building resilience from the inside out. There's also a focus on clearing emotional heaviness and cultivating a calm, steady heart. It's framed as more than just fitness: it's about learning to act from your full heart, to feel deeply without shutting down and to stay open without becoming overwhelmed.
Each session combines breathwork to strengthen the lungs and the nervous system, heart-opening kriyas, tools for emotional balance and deep relaxation to integrate and reset. If you're not sure about committing to the full run, there's a drop-in option, so you can try a single session before deciding whether to stick with it for the rest of the course.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Bournemouth and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
