A screening of the documentary Fashion Reimagined with a mini clothes swap on sustainable fashion, presented by Transition Towns Bournemouth.
Transition Towns Bournemouth are hosting a screening of the documentary Fashion Reimagined at Patch Bournemouth on Tuesday 27 October. It's a double bill of sorts: before the film starts, there's a mini clothes swap where you can bring up to three good-quality items you no longer want and trade them for something new-to-you. The screening itself runs from 7:00pm to 9:30pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm, so there's plenty of time to browse the swap before the lights go down.
Fashion Reimagined follows Amy Powney, an acclaimed designer raised off-grid by activist parents, as she sets out to create a truly sustainable fashion collection. She traces every stage of production from the field to the finished garment, and after winning Vogue's Best Young Designer award, she invested the prize money into a radical experiment to change not just a single collection, but the entire way her business operates. Filmed over three years, it takes you behind the scenes of the global fashion supply chain.
Introducing the film is guest speaker Lesley Windsor from Bridport Fashion Revolution, who'll share some insights into the movement for a fairer, more sustainable fashion industry. Between the swap, the film, and the talk, it's a full evening on the subject rather than just a one-off screening. The film is rated 12A, so it's recommended for ages 12 and over, and you'll need a valid government-issued photo ID to get in.

Tickets are £7.50 in advance and £9.00 on the door. The venue is Patch Bournemouth, 2-12 Commercial Road, BH2 5LP. Doors open at 6:30pm, with the whole thing running from 7:00pm to 9:30pm.
