A friendly, community-focused Qigong session led by artist Rakhee Jasani, focusing on gentle movement, breath and meditation.
Rakhee Jasani leads a community Qigong session at The Old School House in Boscombe on Wednesday 14 October, from 10am to 11am. It's a small, supportive group, and the session is open to everyone, whether you're completely new to Qigong or coming back to it after a break.
Rakhee presents Qigong as an ancient Chinese practice of gentle movement, breath and meditation. Her approach is less about getting it right and more about feeling your way into each movement, so it's a friendly, low-pressure way to spend an hour. The series runs on a monthly theme that follows the seasons and the Five Elements, with each session building on the one before.
The venue, The Old School House (TOSH) at Gladstone Mews, Gladstone Road, BH7 6BG, is a non-profit heritage building in Boscombe that hosts community workshops, art, music and movement. It's an inclusive, accessible space with step-free access, and there's a hot meal available at the Social Canteen after each session, if you fancy staying on for a bit.
