Joint concert featuring Big Country and The Alarm, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Big Country's 'Seer' album.
Big Country and The Alarm share a bill at O2 Academy Bournemouth on Wednesday 25 November, part of a joint tour that brings both bands to the same stage. It's a double bill rather than a support slot, with both bands playing their own sets on the same night.
There's a bit of a story behind it. The tour comes from a pact made between Big Country's Bruce Watson and The Alarm's Mike Peters at The Red in Wales, following Peters' cancer diagnosis in April 2024. They agreed that once Peters was cured and 'Totally Free', their bands would tour together in 2026 to play their greatest hits. Peters is scheduled to be present at every concert on the tour.
Big Country are also marking a specific milestone: the 40th anniversary of their album The Seer. The tour celebrates that record alongside the hits from both bands, so you'll hear material from across their careers rather than just a single era. The Alarm are touring under the name Evan Peters presents The Alarm, with Big Country as special guests.
